Hey, welcome to rebeccashield.com
I grew up in Durham, England, as a part of an active family. I competed competitively in rowing and athletics growing up, but came across injuries throughout this time. Through seeing our family Chiropractor, I learnt of the health benefits of Chiropractic care, as well as the mechanical ones. I wanted to be able to take care of my own family’s health and well-being, and share this message and expertise with others.
I studied Chiropractic at the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic, and graduated in 2013. During my time at college I practiced yoga regularly and went on to practice Bikram yoga for 4 years.
Life in clinic
After graduating I went to work at a well established clinic in the Midlands for 5 years, taking care of families, including pregnant ladies and babies. My post graduate studies lead me to become Webster qualified and further my studies into optimal neurological development of infants. During this time I also worked alongside high profile sport teams, including Suzuki Heads and Threads Motor cross team in 2016 and 2017, and high-profile performers in the entertainment industry.
I began to I learn a lot about rehabilitation and taking care of my body, so that I could keep up with the demands of juggling a very busy career, and not miss a beat outside of it.
In 2016 I began working with Kate Swinson, and Me v Me Quality Activewear, initially modelling their Kalon Range. Later I collaborated with Kate as part of their MeTime campaign, designed to spread knowledge about family wellbeing throughout our community.
I moved to Dubai in 2018, and developed rebeccashield.com to keep in touch with families I’d taken care of in England. I also wanted to generate an easy online source for those keen to learn more about Chiropractic care, the Chiropractic lifestyle and how this may bring improved health and quality of life to others and their families.
